Hats off to our UK colleagues (Eric, Andrew, and any others) who
refuse to collaborate with Bone's obnoxious tactics by
redistributing his piece from the Times Sunday supplement. I'm as
curious as anybody about TRP's Phiz, but the Boneheaded approach
isn't how I'd ever want to find out. Wouldn't want my friends
stalked; wouldn't want my favorite living author stalked.
(Preferable: a chance barroom conversation with him about rock 'n'
roll or colonial history or ampersands or leptons or some such thing,
with TRP discreetly letting on who he is once he's recognized he's
among people who would never blow his cover... every serious
pynchophile's noninvasive fantasy....)

a recent Lotion gig bear enough of a resemblance to allow a plausible
inference that he's been In The Presence)
