Okay, thanks to Arne Petersen for supplying the scan of the infamous London
Times photo.  I've posted it on the Web, so anyone who is interested can
check it out.
Since I'm not sure about the legalities of posting this photo on the Web,
it's only going to be up for a very short time, unless I can determine
whether or not using this photo in a scholarly fashion is fair use, and my
citing of the source is sufficient -- and I will remove the photo
immediately upon request of either The London Times or Thomas Pynchon.

So, decide for yourself whether or not you want to see the pic.  If you do,

I'm not debating the ethics of posting the pic on the Web.  Sonner or later
it was going to happen anyway.  I posted it with some cautionary remarks,
and upon visiting the page, you still have one last chance to reveal the pic
