Dear Ben Freeman,

Sean Penn = "great actor"?

Do you have anything kind to say about _The Crossing Guard_?

(Or are we just considering his acting ability?  In which case, do you
have anything kind to say about his performance in, say, _Casualties of
War_?)

Also, some may be interested to know that our good friend DFW collaborated
on a book about rap back in '90:  _Signifying Rappers:  Rap and Race in
the Urban Present_ by Mark Costello and David Foster Wallace.
