I saw LH on Friday. Does keep one interested but it reminds me of the
Wes Craven Freddie horror movies--in the fact that there is no reality
underpinning the terror--placing the horror within the mundane and
commonplace. After awhile, you don't much care. Actually, reminded me
of a Steve Erickson novel, melding diverse story lines together. If
Lynch's idea from the start was to film a nightmare, he has succeeded
wonderfully. However, the movie doesn't say anything, there is no
voice-even the eroticism is pretty tame. Some people will laugh, others
will love it, most will scratch their heads. I still think it a fine
effort, but the impact will slowly fade.
