You mentioned DeLillo; I picked up two of his novels at a library used 
book
recently, but haven't read anything by him yet (Plisters have turned my
attention to him :-) ).  The two I found were _Players_ and _Running 
Dog_. 
Are they worth reading, in yer humble opinions?

Meg--I just finished _Running Dog_ .  Sorry to say, I was disappointed.  
Reminded me of _White Noise-Interesting idea--search for a pornographic 
film from Hitler's bunker.  I think DD strengths lay in his style and 
strength of his ideas.  Unfortunately, he does not have Pynch's plotting 
genius.  I'm hoping _Underworld_ will prove me wrong considering its 
length.  I like bits and pieces of _Great Jones Street_ and _Mao II_.  
Can't say he's written one whole novel that has kept my attention 
straight through.
