How do you know he isn't here among us already.  I can barely open my
mailbox (the physical one, not the computer one), for the AOL diskette
engorgement.  AOL, the internet's equivalent of a pay phone, a nice
place to make some anonymous calls from.

For all the paranoids, even if someone was identified by Henry Holt as
"Tom Pynchon", how would you know it was really him and not some PR guy?
But suppose Tom is/was here: What Then?

For some reason, I keep thinking of that scene in some movie where a
student is to write a paper for English class on Vonnegut, and gets
Vonnegut to write the paper.  Then the professor trashes it...
