Diana,

I don't think that you should leave the list.  Though I may bristle at
many of your posts, some have given me cause to think.

I think that it might do well for everyone here to keep in mind one of my
all-time favorite quotes.  It is from _Truth_and_Method, by Hans-Georg
Gadamer and I have it tacked to my wall here:

     To reach an understanding with one's partner in a dialogue is
     not merely a matter of total self-expression and the successful
     assertion of one's own point of view, but a transformation into
     a communion, in which we do not remain what we were.
