Sorry if my response came across as defensive or churlish--didn't mean it
that way. It truly seemed to me that you were thinking of Shields as she
is now, and didn't realize that she had been in a movie as a child where
she was portrayed as a sexual object. The various posts on the topic have
convinced me that my poorly-thought-out comparison made on the spur of
the moment in response to Joe's question was, indeed, poorly thought out.
T-that's it, it was that Joe's fault!
