PMC and Muse

Hi All.  Thanks for the interest in Postmodern Culture's recent move to 
Johns Hopkins's MUSE project.  MUSE does offer individual subscriptions, 
for $20/year, which allow access to all back issues.  The current issue 
of PMC will remain free to anyone.  

I personally feel very ambivalent about this arrangement, but it was 
arrived at after much deliberation.  If you have ideas about this issue, 
please feel free to write the journal.  We intend to run a discussion of 
the issues surrounding electronic publication, and our move to MUSE, in a 
forthcoming issue.  

The bottom line is money.  We have expenses related to the production of 
the journal which we can no longer absorb under various existing 
structures.
