Sentimental Journey

	My memory is of a action figure called Major Matt Mason- an
astronaut with lots of accessories(space capsule, etc). Like
many kids of my age, I had a rocket/space obsession(I grew up in rural
Florida and vividly remember seeing the fiery tail of the Saturn rockets
launched from the cape as they climbed over the orange groves). It seems
inevitable that Pynchon would later strongly resonate with me (it doesn't
hurt that I really like bananas too).
