Jester describes:
"The little web graphic has nothing on this tome! The color of the book is
NOT the pale yellow that the graphic relates, but a freaky looking flesh
tone -- and the writing resembles TATTOO work more than print! Furthermore,
and I almost missed it... there is a really neat "debossed" (I guess is the
term) hidden message on the back of the dusk jacket... it's the name of our
favorite author! :-) Very well done... an air of mystery, a little spooky --
and warmly inviting!"
Actually, I think that paper color and texture as well as typeface are meant
to evoke printing of the 18th century--the kind of stuff Ben Franklin cranked
out or newspapers of the era.
If you have been reluctant to peer *under* the jacket, please note the use
of similar typeface in the evocative gold lettering of the title on the
spine and the embossed initials "TP" on the cover! Very elegant looking!
(But that acetate wrapper will stay on as long as possible. I'm tempted to
wear gloves while handling the pages!)
