Sorry if this was part of the sarcasm and I missed it...

Advance galleys are like that, and Jules is interested in a special limited
edition like that, but the regular book is produced as standard perfect-bound
trade paper. 

You might also note that Jules has had several other "real books"  published. 
You can even order a couple of them (out of print) from Amazon.com. 

Whether or not any of this makes him a "real writer" is a different issue,
and you're entitled to your opinions.
