Gee, at least two Upper West Siders (self and Chris K.) managed to brave our way
through the 59th Parallel and make it to Coliseum.  Not to mention that Papyrus 
is probably still on 113th Street (though the much-lamented Salter's--closed 
1981; showing my age here--had more interesting stock).

Not to mention that new place on 112th Street.

I'd love to support my local indie, but with the advent of Barnes & Noble 
there are no local indies left (at least not on the Upper West Side--in 
fact, with the closure of Books & Co., there are virtually no indies above 
59th Street).
