     No. I just start up conversations with every Golden Retriever on the 
     street.  Usually ends when I point at some nearby construction (this 
     is NYC, after all) and say, "Go fetch a rock."
     
     They do.

So has anyone else attempted to hold a conversation with his/her dog in the
