Incapable of commenting on this (or any other particulars) yet -- just want
to flow with it & see if intuition & past-Pynchon gives some clues.

A general comment, tho:

I'm immediatley caught by the "classic" Pynchon style, recast into 18th
century American English -- many of these sentences would be right at home
in V or GR, if they were updated to modern language; and so I wonder...

Someone recently mentioned Euro-language translations of past TRP. As I
have only a few distant years of technical German and a smattering of gutter
Italian (some maintain that ALL Italian is gutter, but we don't listen to
them), I've never been able to attempt TRP in translation. Is there anyone
on the list who has? -- and does his style, his sense, his playfullness
come through at all the same?
