Sold on Rainforest Suicide?

I heard this reported on Morning Edition the other day, and it sounds
true.  Apparently negotiations are being attempted but the tribe is
pretty adamant.

BTW, The Republic of Texas standoff has ended peacefully.  Thank goodness
that sense can reign once in a while, even if provisionally!
