Somebody has already mentioned Joe Kane's excellent book _Savages_ on the
Huaorani tribe in Ecuador.  He reports that the Huaorani refer to all the
different oil companies vying for their land as "The Company".  In fact,
they also consider the UN, the Sierra Club, and the US Government to be
parts of "The Company".  They are having a difficult time dealing with The
Company.
