Some of the weekend UK papers (Independent and Financial Times) reviewed
M&D. Latest Spectator has teased cover talking about the best novel of the
90s; you guessed it! Don't know whether any of them are on Websites.

Greg M. pretty much expressed my feelings exactly--I too stumbled onto
Pynchon on my own, and I read his work for the beauty of it rather than
for academic reasons. In fact, GR is my favorite book and M&D is shaping
up to be right up there (though I've only read 100+ pages).

On a related note, the fun of this list for me is much more in seeing what
other Pynchon fans have to say about the wide world than it is in erudite
discussions of Pynchon's work--though those can be fun too.
