First off, I wasn't surprised. I've got an anticipatory kinda mind, 
but the actuality was/is upsetting nonetheless. Oh, well. Think I'll 
go out and hit a bucket'o'balls. 

As to Cinco de Mayo, I happened to be treated by a girlfriend to a 
consolationary dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Bethesda that was 
classy enough to not have any Cinco de Mayo (CM) specials. CM has 
become quite an sales op, just like all the other 'merikan 
"hollidays."
