I think the rereading of a novel is probably more obviously likened to
seeing the same movie more than once--some people can't really even
understand this, especially if it means paying each time.  Personaly, I
think I can appreciate the reading (or viewing!) "experience" better
when I'm no longer trying to figure out what's going to happen in the
rest of the story and  just concentrate  the telling itself.....
