first editions -- recent sightings

I browsed through several NYC used/rare bookstores this afternoon in
search of a 1st ed. GR, V, or Slow Learner.  Slow Learner was the only
one I could lay my hands on, it retailed for $60, very good condition. 
GR and V eluded me, but two booksellers quoted recent retail prices in
the $600 to $750 range for GR.  V, well V is another story altogether.
