Max,
Not only am I not sure what you meant now, but not sure what I meant either. I guess I
thought you meant we could appreciate his work in some pristinely *literary* way. Just as
vague, no? At any rate I agree w/ you in believing that his motives are admirable.
Imagine the fame, the spotlights, the Leno-Letterman appearances, the Nike logo on the
book covers. All of this could be his, just by showing up at the next PLNY gathering!!
Yet, he demurs.
