Lineland vs. %list folks words - a brief review

Now that someone has read the work, I have one question - which I will
preface.

I am on this list because I like what TRP writes, but it challenges me.
The list, or rather the people who post their own insights, help me
overcome that challenge and enjoy his work more fully. So I am not really
interested in Pynchon the person, or rather, I'm interested in him only
to the extent that it helps me understand his writing. Certain biographical
information, like knowing what hospital he was born in, what he looks like,
or, for that matter, his exact current street address would be of no use
or interest to me. My impression from your review is that this book is about

1)	Jules Siegel, what he thinks, and who he's been or is married to.
2)	The Pychon List
3)	Cyberspace

I'm on the list, I don't need to read about it. I've read enough of
Jules' posts to feel that I know all that I'm interested in knowing about
him. If I need to know more about either Jules or the rest of the list, I can
go look it up. You state that you feel that the book is good material and
worth a read; fair enough. But it isn't clear to me that the good material
is about anything I want to pursue at this point.

So my question is: is there anything new in Lineland about TRP's writing
which is not available to the interested reader online, for instance in
the archive or on Jules homepage? Or would the Pynchon related material
really be of primary use to people who are currently off line?

I think, knowing the answer to this, I can decide whether to get the book
or not.
