That *was* my impression throughout a sizable chunk of text, but I just
encountered Mason saying "G-d." Pray continue your reading unencumbered
by this demonstration of my idiocy.
The question of Narrative Voice is an interesting one, though, and I
expect it will get really weird when "The Ghastly Fop" shows up. M&D
should keep what Mendelson calls "IG Pynchon" busy for quite a while!
