You should at least do me the courtesy of referring to me by my name (JJ
Sargent) or my moniker (Jester). I would appreciate it. Furthermore, I am
certainly a "somebody," but I am not THE "Somebody."
As for your last point... well made. I suspect that this opinion should
prove essential to Pynchon scholars in their approach to Lineland. I think
that this is especially important considering the magnitude of certain
"assumptions" made about TRP's character/personality -- these were all
posted on the list months ago, and I won't bother repeating them here.
