Ever since I said I hadn't seen much of Bing & Bob
in the characters of Mason and Dixon I've been seeing
it lots (What a day I'm having!)

Minor Spoiler ahead:





On p. 302 M sez to D:  Be practical,- if they kill you, and I remain safe,
the loss to British
Astronomy, if any, will go largely unnotic'd.

Now the above one could easily imagine Bing saying to Bob as he sends him out
to face a bunch of hostile Indians
