I say:
I guess I was going for a mathematical equation here - I thought it would be
appropriate to send an amount of postings questioning the claims of the
ifc which would be equal to the amount of self-promotional postings - Besides
I wanted to see if my face was really going to get ripped off

Sorry to hear that you didn't come well in the book in question but hey at
least
now you are famous (which is apparently what we all strive for)
