When Mason (with his son in tow) visits Dixon's grave near the end of the 
book--Pynchon and Farina.  made that scene even more poignant.  Also, 
Bugs and Daffy;  Abbott and Costello, hell even Mulder and Scully (Dixon 
persuading Mason to forget about Rebekah, Scully persuading Mulder to 
forget about his sister)
