Reading speed

I'm following much of the messages regarding M&D and marveling at the
reading speed many of you possess.  I'd give anything to be able to read 50
pages in an hour as many of you seem able to do. 

Could you tell me how you've accomplished this, which is especially
impressive given the difficulty of much Pychon prose?  This skill would be
of immense use.
