joyce/pynchon crossover?

I'm curious about what kind of crossover exists between Pynchon and
Joyce fans?  Being new to this camp, I'd like to know if there have
been previous discussions comparing/contrasting both artists success
at changing literature (or at least "the novel") as we know it.

I'm reading my first Pynchon at the moment, that being _M&D_, and I'm
really quite enjoying it, albeit in a completely different ways than
I did _Ulysses_ or _Finnegans Wake_.  I feel I'll be tackling _GR_ next,
and I wanted to see if there were any others out there that have read
and enjoyed both authors.
