Ahem,
  I've found that some of the geography in M&D is a bit off
or skewed. 
  1. When they reach Mt Vernon, it seems they do not cross the 
Potomac. VA is on the S side of the Potomac.
  2. And Why should one have to cross the Susquehanna to get
to Lancaster, PA coming from Delaware. Unless, of course, one
is stopping in Dundalk to pick up some kielbasa at one of
the many fine Polish meat markets there.

  I'm familiar with the area. I've been working on hydrological
projects in the ChezBay drainage for the past 8 years. I should 
know.
