I changed the title for this to ensure that those who are filtering
messages still see this one.

Uh oh, that was far from clear to me as I trashed all those notes
saying `me too, me too'.

Meg is right that there is no need to sign up just to do the
read. here is the basics again for those who are unsure. Anyone on the
list will be able to participate just by posting their thoughts (an
danyone shoudl be abel to not participate by ignoring our posts -
which all ought to be clearly marked). I will draw up a reading
timetable in chunks of roughly 3 chapters per fortnight and a plan
detailing who is responsible for kicking off the discussion on each
section. We will discuss the current section while we are reading the
next one and the first reading starts on 23rd of May, the first
discussion on 6th June. I'll put full details on a web page and
circulate them to the list as we get nearer the start date.

Paul is also right that requests to take a lead role should have come
to me via private email not the list. Anyone who wants to take on the
responsibility for one or more sections ***please mail me privately
and make it clear that this is what you are offering***.

So far the only two I know for sure want to take part are Chris
Karatnytsky and Meg. Between us we should be able to cover the first
few sessions. After that I'm sure there are others who are willing and
able but don't worry if you are undecided or unsure. Try sitting in on
a few sessions and then see if you think you could improve on our
attempts or just add some variety.
