Quoting and context

Hi all,

I think that David Casseres and John Krafft are really in violent 
agreement about messages quoting other messages on the list.

It *is* necessary to quote enough of a message that you are responding
to to establish context.  It is *not* usually necessary to quote the
entire message.  Editing a quoted message takes time, but it is a 
courtesy to your fellow list members.  Let's encourage it.
