     It's down there ....

Referring to Mason and his young sons after his return from the
prolonged Transit of Venus to England:

"The Boys, up since before Dawn, mombly upon the Floor with Fatigue,
lurch over to kiss him good-Night, as if he has never been away, and
ev'ry night they have been kissing him so. As ever, he is surpriz'd
by the fierceness of their bodies, their inability to hold back, the
purity of the not-yet-dishonest, -- t'would take a harder Case than
not to struggle with Tears of Sentiment."

Hoping not to sound maudlin, but these words convey what I feel with
my two little ones (girls, not boys). There is little to compare to a
totally spontaneous kiss and hug from one of them, a totally pure
affection. They have what can only be called an aura of energy and
     love around them.

For TRP, a big change in his written treatment of children from GR.
And probably for TRP as well. It's this kind of awareness that is the
     difference between Father and Daddy.
