Time to lift the "spoiler" warning

I have no problem sticking with a spoiler notice for now, but I do wish
we could agree to use something other than just M&D and a page number in
the subject header. I mean, I don't see how a word or short phrase is
going to ruin, or even lessen, anyone's experience of a wonderful,
densely written 773 page book. We could even agree to keep using page
numbers (which are helpful, anyways) and to show a little discretion
with the words or phrases chosen for the headings. It's not as precise
as the system we use now, but it seems to be a good balance between not
giving anything away (I mean, really, for those of us who haven't gotten
to a particular part of the book, a word or phrase chosen with just a
modicum of discretion is unlikely to give anything away--it would take
a fairly verbose subject heading to tip the hand on most turns of plot
in this book) and providing those who are interested with a more
convenient way to keep track of the various M&D threads. Maybe my
memory's not as good as some folks, but, with over 100 posts a day, I
sometimes find it a bit of a pain in the ass to keep track the threads
in which I'm interested with only the page numbers to go by.
So that's my two cents with an extra dime thrown in.
Paul
