This is beautiful. I am left with a feeling of optimism,
after the steady drumbeat of Broken Magic and Evil which parade
into the New Worlds throughout the book, marching on the skulls
and wounded dreams of the natives. The book examines a dark
current that is being expressed in Europe's conquering the world,
follows M&D as they build a sword thrust into the heart of this
land new to them, aware of what evil they may be unleashing, and
yet still, "just doing the job." I began to get a sense of manic
enjoyment, the wild party as as hell breaks loose. A frenzied drunken
assessment of what to grab quick.
The last part portrays the relationship that has developed
between M & D in an exquiaite contrast to the more formal, and hostile,
social and professional relations depicted throughout. And then,
suddenly back in America, we are released from our journey with a
breath of spring air, a revealing of the love and tenderness which
is within us, that for good or bad, resides with all the evil too.
I am charmed by the ending. I felt fully satisfied that
all aspects of the birth of this dream I am in have been considerd
and nothing swept under the rug.
	I love it,

	veg
