Additionally, it seems impossible that TRP was not aware of William T.
Vollmann's monumental SEVEN DREAMS project, the biggest dream of which so
far--FATHERS AND CROWS--did not get the reverential treatment accorded M&D
(and probably should have).
   
	I am glad I read THE ICE-SHIRT before this.  Reading the
first murder scene, again, made it seem very dreamlike indeed.  I
like Vollmann's prose, but Pynchon is on another level, and so
first reading a rather mundane version, and then this gem, added
immeasureable to the dreamy feeling.
	And what about FATHERS AND CROWS?  Please say more.
