Of course all us culturally online p-listers recall the episode
of "Seinfeld" in which George brought his parents to meet and
dine with his then-fiancee's parents, and a huge brouhaha erupted
over George's father taking exception to bits and pieces of the
movie _Backdraft_ being discussed before he had had a chance to
see it.  Mr Costanza, of course, was of the persuasion that _any_
detail divulged before viewing ruined his enjoyment of the work
in question.
