DFW on NPR

     If I were an "up-and-coming" novelist who published _IJ_ at virtually 
     the same age at which "the P guy" published _GR_, I wouldn't want to 
     be compared to him, either.

If I were an up-and-coming 36 year-old novelist I would certainly put
a little distance between myself & the highly acclaimed "P guy" to whom 
I am endlessly compared. No surprise there.
