Obsession

Does anyone share both Pynchon and Romance with someone? I'm 
constantly reading p-l messages to the effect that the lister's 
s.o./spouse/whatever does NOT share their Pynchon mania. Hmmm... 
Mutually exclusive?

I absolutely fell for someone who got _me_ into Pynchon.  She would 
always claim to find Pirate in different places on successive reads of 
GR.  I couldn't argue.  Alas, I don't think she wants to see me again--I 
love you tends to freak people out, you know.  All I know is she lives in 
Philadelphia and works for the public library.  Hope she got her copy of 
M&D...Reading pynchon now is heaven and hell.
