How long it takes to read a good book (was Difficulty)

GR is of course famous for being more discussed than read - I started the
book the
first time and had to stop becaue I was completely confused - Does that make it
a bad book? Not at all - I made it through several times since then and have
found
each reading to be more enjoyable and rewarding then the last - Does that
make it
a good book? The last time I re-read I found myself going more and more
slowly just
to enjoy the prose

M & D is a very different book - Equally challenging but for far different
reasons - I read
in about a two week period up to page 500 and I've stopped - Not out of
exhaustion or
confusion or disinterest but because the prose is so outright beautiful that
I want to savor
it for as long as I can - I'm waiting for a generous amount of free time so
I can stride
the rest of the way down that line at a pace worthy of the careful
construction of the author
