Joe conspires:
| By the way...does anyone else enjoy these "_____ for Beginners" books?
| Even if it's subject is something you know quite well, they're really
| rather entertaining. I'm anxiously waiting for them to release their
| "Lacan for Beginners", someone upon whom I've yet to get any kind of
| grasp.

|I reply:
The guy who wrote _Derrida for Beginners_, forgot his name at the moment,
has another book out, or coming out soon, titled _Postmodernism for
Beginners_. I was on the Derrida listserv for a while--without a doubt
one of the most boring lists available.
Three months of defining iterability--ugh.

| Sometimes I find decon utterly fascinating...at others I have to wonder
at
| the point of it all.
|
I'm with you, Joe; sometimes I think I've got it, and other times all I can
think is HUH??? In my mind, an important thing to keep in mind is that
decon is not destruct, even if it seems that way.
