The Anti-Aesthetic is a good sampler.  For a philosophical
overview Richard Bernstein's The New Constellation: the
ethical-political horizons of modernity/postmodernity is quite
good.  The title alone should interest P-listers.  As for Lacan
kissing in cabs--that is about the least outrageous of his
social acts.
