I think that, whilst being quite interesting, Derrida is
really just acting like I would do in an essay if I wanted
to annoy the teacher. That is, hack apart the actual basis
for the question (which is, of course, quite valid) rather
that try and answer it. It's remarkably easy to do, and I
think that Derrida is just a well-known example of it.
He wanted to cause trouble, and what larger institution
could he possibly attempt to bring down than "the whole of
Western thought since Plato?"
