Derrida, mon amour

Dennis asks what psychopathologies Derrida, like his cohorts, might have...
Well, he's really vain and he likes his hair to look good. I guess
one can intuit this from the dapper photos displayed here and there
but I have some insider information. A friend of mine is making
a film of Cixous--and last summer she expressed her anxiety to me
about Derrida's vanity. In one segment of the film (in an interview
shot) he doesn't look as handsome as he thinks he is. Due to the lighting,
Derrida sort of fades into the background. My friend is quite worried
that J.D. is not going to be happy about this at all, and that he'll
want a retake.
In another post Thomas implies that Derrida is a troublemaker and a hack.

I completely disagree. That's all. I could go on for hours, but won't.
I heard him speak last year and he was brilliant--and he fielded
a lot of questions really well and with a wonderful sense of humour.
