Is M&D as good as GR???

	 _GR_ is a great book, but it seems to have had more impact if you read it
when you were young.  It didn't provide me with any new insights into the
world (well, the Giant Adenoid was a new one for me) but then I didn't
read it until I was 40.  

I guess I relate to this generalization, putting the same sort of qualification on it
as veg. No new or startling revelations about "the world" but revelations aplenty about what writing could be.

Have no idea what it would be like to read The Pyncher as a youth. In my case he
hadn't started writing yet.
