Dear Dana-

I had a response prepared, suggesting a middle ground regarding the issue at
hand, but I decided to run the issue past the woman to whom I am married,
[M], before I did so. When I verbalized the metaphor in the presence of this
living woman, the correctness of your complaint became obvious to me
instantly, and was further validated by M's response, which was virtually
identical to yours. Typing things on a screen has a whole different
nonfeeling to it than personal encounter. I am very glad I did not post my
original response. It was insensitive bullshit. Rave on. The violation of
women and the feminine is so ingrained in our psyches we need to be called on
it at every turn.
