Oliver Xymoron writes, anent the Wanda Tinasky authorship question:

I must agree.  I also like the notion that Wanda's presence in the Mendocino 
area was just as ghost-like, almost-perceived, as TRP's is in the world;
the only evidence, in the final analysis, is on paper.

I don't have my copy of the Letters to hand, but I don't recall anything
that struck me as abusive or hateful.  It might have been editorial
influence, but I had the sense that anyone that Wanda took potshots at 
rather deserved it.
