NP? Underworld

So, I just cracked the first few pages of Underworld, and you know what?
The last time I read this book, it was called Gravity's Rainbow!

Okay, not quite that similar.  Lots of the same rythms and concerns, though.
Sort of what GR might have been (might have *had* to be) if Pynchon set it
in the US of A.  Kinda reminds me of what a European writer Pynchon is, in a
Jamesian way.

And this was when all those Moonies were married? During the "shot heard
round the world" Game?  Remarkable.  I can't wait to see what he does with
it.  What?  Oh.  

Don't get me wrong.  I like Don.  But I like him best when he's mimicing
Pynchon least.
