Redirection

Progammers will recognize my use of the word "redirection," used to 
describe the process of using "pointers" in place of what you might 
call actual data. Kind like buttons and other links on WWW pages. 
Well isn't that a meta for something?

How deep can we follow? How many levels of redirection "work?" What's 
the greatest number of levels you ever scene?

This was inspired by the Garland/Mason "A Star is Born". They go to a 
preview of her first movie, which features the "Born in a Trunk" 
number (in front an audience on the screen)  , which flashes back to 
a number of numbers of Garlands "Born in a Trunk" character's career. 
I'm seeing how difficult/impossible it is to describe in text. 
Hmmmmmm... I'll take my medium rare.
